Styling
Styling is a hobby and passion of mine. I have been able to grow in a styling class at Dominican University. Links and descriptions of some of my projects are below.
Costume Styling
In the movie, Passengers, released in December of 2016, Aurora Lane is played by Jennifer Lawrence. Aurora is a writer, who has given up her life on Earth, to travel in a 120-year hibernation, to the planet Homestead II. She is adventurous and has a very modern, simple, and feminine style. She comes from a family of fame, and is of a higher class. She enjoys exercising daily—whether it be running or swimming. She is determined to find a way to put herself and fellow passenger back into hibernation when the ship malfunctions.
Myself as a Brand
I would describe my personal style as very feminine, and I would want my brand as a stylist to be the same. I love everything tulle and sparkly! I think that these two looks reflect how I would dress as a stylist. (Given a $1,000 budget)
Iridian: Client
Iridian's style can be described as urban-glam. She likes to wear oversized clothing and uses colors as accents. I decided to stick to neutrals with a denim accent, leaving her hair to add a pop of color. I used oversized layers to create an urban look, which is why we took photos behind the MAC building. The weather and background brought out her final look.
Editorial Shoot Proposal
For an Elle editorial shoot, I have put together a complete proposal including location, model, mood boards, hair, makeup, and four complete looks. My inspiration came largely from the spring season, floral colors, and 80s denim.
